# Anatolian Kilim L-Shaped Floor Sofa Set with Stepped Borders

Hooked diamonds and stepped borders run along two walls in the Anatolian Kilim L-shaped floor sofa set, built from two 75 × 27.5 in (190 × 70 cm) seat cushions, four backrests, a corner backrest and two armrest bolsters. The standard L covers about 75 × 102 in (190 × 260 cm), leaving an open square in front of the corner for the ottoman.

## Questions buyers ask

### How many armrests come with an L-shaped set, and can I add more or choose where they go?

An L-shaped floor sofa set comes with two armrests. You can ask for a set number and position, such as both ends plus between seats, and extra armrests come in the set's fabric at the standard 19.5 × 8 × 8 in (50 × 20 × 20 cm).

### What type and density of foam do you use, and can I upgrade to a denser foam?

Seats use high-density polyurethane foam — ask us for the exact density for your build. State any different foam requirement before confirming the Anatolian Kilim set, so the team can review it with the chosen seat height and component list. A photograph of the pattern does not identify the foam inside the cushions.

## How many pieces does the Anatolian Kilim L include, and how big is each?

| Piece | Count | Size |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Seat cushion | 2 | 75 × 27.5 in (190 × 70 cm) |
| Backrest | 4 | 37.5 × 16 × 4 in (95 × 40 × 10 cm) |
| Corner backrest | 1 | 23.5 × 16 × 4 in (60 × 40 × 10 cm) |
| Armrest bolster | 2 | 19.5 × 8 × 8 in (50 × 20 × 20 cm) |
| Floor pillow | 3 | 27.5 × 19.5 in (70 × 50 cm) |
| Ottoman | 1 | 23.5 × 23.5 × 8 in (60 × 60 × 20 cm) |
| Matching rug | 1 | Ask us |

Packages run 9, 10, 11 and 14 pieces, adding the rug, then the ottoman, then the floor pillows. More woven designs in this cut are listed under [traditional patterned floor sofas](https://orientalsofa.com/traditional-sofa-models/).

## Where do the ottoman and rug go inside an Anatolian Kilim L?

Inside the L there is an open square in front of the corner. The 23.5 × 23.5 × 8 in (60 × 60 × 20 cm) ottoman works there as a low table, about 8 in (20 cm) high on a standard set, with the rug beneath it. On my sketches, the route from the door to the open end of the L is drawn before any cushion.

> Leave a path wide enough to walk through without turning sideways.

## How is an Anatolian Kilim L sized to walls that are not standard?

Longer walls are split into pieces of up to about 75 in (190 cm), and the second wall gives up about 27.5 in (70 cm) where the first run fills the corner. Two walls of about 140 in (355 cm) each, for instance, take four seat cushions with their backrests, a corner backrest and four armrests. Custom orders start with a layout plan for your approval.

## At what height should an everyday Anatolian Kilim corner sit?

| Seat thickness | Build | Full set |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 4 in (10 cm) | One cushion per seat | 14 pieces |
| 8 in (20 cm) | One block or two 4 in (10 cm) layers | 14, or 16 stacked |
| 12 in (30 cm) | Usually made to order | 14 as single blocks |
| 16 in (40 cm) | Usually made to order | 14 as single blocks |

For everyday sitting, 8 in (20 cm) is the middle ground, and for older relatives 12 in (30 cm) or 16 in (40 cm) is easier to rise from. Made-to-order sets take a little longer than ready ones — ask us for the current timing. The foam is firm to medium-firm. Seats use high-density polyurethane foam — ask us for the exact density for your build.

## How do you read the hooked diamonds and stepped borders of an Anatolian kilim?

Kilims are flat-woven, and most Anatolian kilims are slit-woven. Each color fills its own block, so the designs lean on steps, diagonals and sharp diamonds rather than curves. Hooks, eyes and ram's horns are often read as protection or strength, though these are traditional readings.

The L comes in blue, gray, green, maroon, red and royal blue, in an indoor weave. Ask us about fabric swatches and a foam sample before you order.

## Which details belong on your Anatolian Kilim L sketch?

1. Draw the two walls as one corner and write each length along the floor.
2. Mark the door and its swing, plus any radiator or low window.
3. Note how many people sit there on a normal evening.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can a red Anatolian Kilim L share a home with a blue single in another room?

Every Anatolian Kilim colorway keeps the same hooked-diamond layout, so sets in different colors read as one family. Name each colorway clearly on the order, since red and maroon sit close together.

### Can the Anatolian Kilim L stand against a room divider instead of a wall?

The backrests lean on a wall or another firm surface, so a solid divider can stand in for a wall. Metal back supports can be added on request for a run with nothing behind it.

### Can spare covers be ordered for the Anatolian Kilim L?

Covers can be ordered without foam, for example to refresh one seat or the whole set in another colorway. Send the piece sizes and your colorway name, and the team confirms the fit.
