A majlis video consultation puts a designer on your screen while you measure, so each wall is checked against the tape before a layout is drawn. The same call can show fabric rolls and finished seating from our Istanbul workshop, and slots appear in your local time, which matters when Istanbul runs 7 to 8 hours ahead of US Eastern time.

How do you book the call, from purpose to reminder?
Many people read a little before they book, and our majlis planning and measuring guides are the usual place to start; the call then covers what no guide can see, which is your own room.
- Pick what the call is for: measuring your room together, seeing fabrics live, a closer look at finished seating and foam, or reviewing a plan you already have.
- Choose a slot from the times on offer, which appear in the time zone your browser reports.
- Add a majlis planner plan number if the room is already drawn there, or a few room photos.
- Confirm the booking; the design team then tells you how the call will run: a video app or a meeting link.
- A reminder reaches you 24 hours before the call and again 1 hour before, in your local time.

Can I talk to someone on a phone or video call and see the fabrics and models live before ordering?
Phone and video calls with a designer can be booked before you order: the designer shows real fabrics, color swatches and finished majlis while you show the room, and a layout can be suggested from what you both see. Ask us for a design consultation — we can talk through your room on a video call. Wall lengths and room photos sent beforehand make the call shorter and the quote closer to your room.

A quick sum shows why the designer asks for the short wall too. With floor seats about 27.5 in (70 cm) deep on two facing walls, a room 144 in (366 cm) wide keeps roughly 89 in (226 cm) of open floor between them; with custom majlis seats of about 29.5 in (75 cm), the gap narrows to about 85 in (216 cm). Checking both numbers on camera is quicker than correcting them after a layout is drawn.

What should you have ready for the call?
- A tape measure, and someone to hold the far end on long walls.
- Clear corners, since each wall is measured from one corner to the other.
- The wall lengths you already have, with the unit written beside every number.
- A few photos of the room, taken from the doorway and from the far corner.
- A camera angle that takes in every door, window and radiator, plus any wall that must stay clear.
- Any plan number the majlis planner gave you.
Which decisions does the design team take after the call?
The call gathers facts; the drawing, the quote and the final fabric code come afterwards. The design team turns the confirmed walls into a layout and a quote, and the guide to what a majlis quote is built from shows which of your choices move it.
Nothing goes into production until the model, every measurement, the seat height and the fabric code have been checked with you again. If a shade still needs to be seen in your own daylight, order fabric samples by post after the call.

Do you help design the whole majlis room, or do you only sell the seating?
Design help comes with every majlis order. From your photos and wall lengths, the designers suggest layout, seat height, cushion thickness and colors, and they can add rugs, curtains, ottomans or coffee tables as separate lines on the quote, so you keep only what you want.
Can I see the sofas and the workshop live on a video call before I pay?
A live call from the Istanbul workshop can be booked before any payment, showing fabrics, foam, seat heights and finished orders, and the designer can check your measurements on the same call. Custom orders are photographed and filmed for your approval before they ship.
Does the video call commit me to an order?
No order is placed on the call; a custom order only begins once you have agreed a layout and accepted its quote. Ask us for a design consultation — we can talk through your room on a video call.
