Turkish Majlis by Oriental Sofa

Turkish furniture-making and textile craft combine seating construction with carved woodwork and woven patterns. Designs associated with Ottoman rooms and nomadic textiles bring familiar forms into the room, where the frame supports the seating and the cloth carries its decoration.

Majlis seating is arranged for hosting and gathering. Its woodwork and fabric bring decorative motifs into a seat used along the walls, with each design drawing on Turkish folklore and everyday life.

• The rose motif represents love and grace.
• The tree of life signifies immortality and the eternal cycle of life.
• The ram’s horn stands for strength and masculinity.
• The Elibelinde motif, shaped like a stylized female figure, symbolizes femininity and fertility.

We use these motifs in the woven fabric and carved details of our Majlis sets. The decoration gives the room a connection to Turkish craft while the seating serves its daily purpose.

The frame and cushion fabric identify this collection:

• Turkish Majlis uses a wooden frame; confirm the timber of the selected model on its specification.
• Seats and backrests are faced in densely woven Turkish carpet fabric with patterned motifs.
• Carved accents draw on traditional Turkish woodworking.

Geometric, floral and symmetrical patterns cover the cushions. Designs associated with Ottoman and Seljuk decoration let the frame and fabric form one seating arrangement in a modern room.

• Seats use high-density polyurethane foam — ask us for the exact density for your build.
• All seat and back cushions are removable, allowing for easy maintenance and cleaning.

From matching side cushions to lace-covered center tables and coordinated carpets, every element is thoughtfully designed to complete the room:

• Armrests are adorned with woven ethnic fabric.
• The coffee table showcases detailed carvings.
• Lace curtains, wall hangings, and tapestries add a soft yet elegant ambiance.

Coordinate the cushions, table and room textiles with the seating pattern to create a place for gatherings or relaxation.
