Questions buyers ask
How long does a made-to-measure majlis take from order to delivery?
A custom majlis moves in two stages, production and then transit. Production starts once you approve the layout plan, because every piece is cut and sewn to your walls. Production time depends on your layout and the season — ask us for the current schedule. Transit time depends on your country, and your quote shows the schedule.

How do I know this isn't a scam if I'm paying a company abroad?
Ask for a live video call through the Istanbul workshop, where fabrics, foam and orders are shown as they are made and packed. We never ask for card numbers, security codes or one-time passcodes by chat, email or phone. Payment is made through a secure payment link once you approve your quote — ask us which methods are available in your country. Custom orders also come with photos and video of the finished pieces for your approval before they ship.

Which topics does the Arabic majlis FAQ cover?
The Arabic majlis FAQ follows the order a project moves in, from the first tape measure to the day the boxes arrive. Each topic has a short answer here and a fuller page where one exists.
- Sizes and pieces, set out on Arabic floor sofa sets
- Seat height, from 4 in (10 cm) to 16 in (40 cm)
- Fabric, color and washing
- Samples, through the majlis sample box
- Ordering, delivery and payment
- Seating for cafés, halls and lounges
Which answer do you need at each stage of an order?
Most questions arrive in the same order as the project itself. The table follows that path, from planning the room to adding pieces after delivery.
| Stage | What people ask | Short answer |
|---|---|---|
| Planning the room | How much wall a set needs | Each seat cushion is 75 in (190 cm) long and about 27.5 in (70 cm) deep |
| Choosing a height | How low the seat sits | 12 in (30 cm) or 16 in (40 cm) suits anyone who finds it hard to get up from a low seat |
| Choosing fabric | Whether covers wash | Covers unzip and can be machine-washed on a gentle 86°F (30°C) cycle |
| Ordering | What happens before cutting | A layout drawing with every piece and its size comes back for approval |
| Delivery | How the set arrives | Vacuum-packed in several boxes, every box tracked separately |
| After delivery | Adding pieces later | Single pieces, foam and covers can be ordered any time |
Which questions come from homes, and which from cafés and halls?
Homes ask about comfort, such as seat height for older relatives and covers that wash. Venues ask about flow, meaning how many guests a wall holds and how fast a room turns over.
- Seat count: one 75 in (190 cm) seat cushion seats two to three people
- Spare covers: single pieces and covers can be ordered any time
- Firmer seating: the Sedir Bench line sits firmer than all-foam sets and suits cafés and restaurants
- Project scope: restaurants, coffee houses, mosques, community halls and event venues, covered under commercial majlis seating
I plan a venue backward from its busiest hour, then check the quiet ones. Order the spare covers with the first set, not after the first busy month.
Where should a first-time buyer start?
- Measure each wall from corner to corner along the floor, skip doorways and write the unit beside every number.
- Pick a seat height and a design you like, then take a wide photo of the room.
- Send all three with a quote request, and check the layout drawing before anything is cut.
The full sequence, with each approval, is set out in how to order a custom majlis. For room shapes, majlis layouts draws one wall, an L, a U and a full room.
