Cushions are pressed, rolled and vacuum-sealed for shipping and spring back to full size once you open them; they can't be re-compressed at home.

Your set ships in several boxes, typically two or three for an L-shape and more for larger layouts, and they may arrive on different days.

Every box gets its own tracking number, emailed as soon as your order ships.

Each shipment travels with a commercial invoice that lists the goods, their value, weight and materials.

Care

Covers unzip and can be machine-washed on a gentle 86°F (30°C) cycle with a mild detergent; avoid heat, which can shrink them.

Do the Lale backrests need a wall behind them?

Lale backrests are loose cushions that rest against the wall behind them, which is why each run is planned along a wall. Where one side has to face into the room, ask for metal back supports, which we add on request.

Which Lale thicknesses are kept ready, and which are sewn to order?

4 in (10 cm) and 8 in (20 cm) are the everyday ready-made thicknesses, while 12 in (30 cm) and 16 in (40 cm) are usually sewn to order. Made-to-order sets take a little longer than ready ones — ask us for the current timing.

Seats measure 75 × 27.5 in (190 × 70 cm), backrests 37.5 × 16 × 4 in (95 × 40 × 10 cm) (a little shorter on a single), corner backrests 23.5 × 16 × 4 in (60 × 40 × 10 cm) and armrest bolsters 19.5 × 8 × 8 in (50 × 20 × 20 cm). Each full set then adds a foam ottoman of 23.5 × 23.5 × 8 in (60 × 60 × 20 cm) and three pouf pillows of 27.5 × 19.5 in (70 × 50 cm). It also brings a flat-woven matching rug.

Will a Lale set fit the room where your guests gather?

A standard L covers about 75 × 102 in (190 × 260 cm) of floor and seats five or six people comfortably, while a U gives about 224 in (570 cm) of seating along walls of roughly 75 in (190 cm), 130 in (330 cm) and 75 in (190 cm), enough for eight or nine adults. At each corner one run tucks in behind the other, so the second wall gives up about 27.5 in (70 cm), the depth of a seat.

I find the U is the layout families grow into, since the eldest guest can take the middle of the back wall and still see every face.

Stacked layers stay separate rather than sewn together, so a top cushion can come off and become a floor mattress when cousins stay the night. What changes between the red, turquoise and stone gray Lale?

Lale is the Turkish word for tulip, the flower Ottoman court designers spread across silks and tiles, and the Lale pattern follows it from palace gardens to the Tulip Era. Red with gold-toned tulips glows under evening lamps, turquoise recalls blue-green tilework, and Stone Gray, cream with a charcoal lattice, keeps the motif calm in a pale room.

Where do the 19 pieces of a U-shaped Lale set come from?

A U uses three seat cushions, six backrests, two corner backrests and three armrests, making 14 seating pieces. The full set then adds an ottoman, three pouf pillows and a rug, bringing the count to 19.

Can the Lale diwan be cut to a wall that is not a standard length?

Some patterned designs are made only in standard 75 in (190 cm) seats with fixed backrest shapes. Send your wall lengths, and the team confirms whether Lale can be cut to them or planned in standard pieces.
