Five folk-weave tops share one cream base on the Nomad velvet-look base diwan floor sofa: two kilim diamond palettes, an embroidered band, a cross-and-star motif and a plum rosette, all on 75 × 27.5 in (190 × 70 cm) seats. Single, L and U full sets count 10, 14 and 19 pieces, and every design but one comes in four seat thicknesses.

Cushions are pressed, rolled and vacuum-sealed for shipping and spring back to full size once you open them; they can't be re-compressed at home.

Your set ships in several boxes, typically two or three for an L-shape and more for larger layouts, and they may arrive on different days.

Every box gets its own tracking number, emailed as soon as your order ships.

Each shipment travels with a commercial invoice that lists the goods, their value, weight and materials.

Care

Covers unzip and can be machine-washed on a gentle 86°F (30°C) cycle with a mild detergent; avoid heat, which can shrink them.

Is a 8 in (20 cm) Nomad seat one cushion or two stacked layers?

A 8 in (20 cm) seat can be two stacked 4 in (10 cm) cushions or one solid block. Stacked layers stay loose, and with them an L counts 16 pieces and a U 22.

How many people does a U-shaped Nomad set seat?

A U-shaped set gives about 224 in (570 cm) of seating and seats eight or nine adults in comfort, while an L seats five or six. Each 75 in (190 cm) seat cushion holds two to three people.

Seating alone is 5, 9 or 14 pieces. You can stop at seating, add the rug, add the rug and ottoman, or take the full set with three pouf pillows; on a single, the rug comes only with the full set. Quilted and damask patterns round out the diwan floor sofas that the Nomad belongs to.

How do Nomad seats fit an L or U room?

Plan an L on walls of at least 75 in (190 cm) and 102 in (260 cm), and a U on 75 in (190 cm), 130 in (330 cm) and 75 in (190 cm). The extra 27.5 in (70 cm) on the longer walls is the depth of the seat that turns the corner.

Some patterned designs come only in standard 75 in (190 cm) modules, so ask whether your Nomad design is made in half-length seats of about 37.5 in (95 cm). When a wall falls between sizes, a small gap at the end looks better to me than a cut pattern.

How firm and how high can a Nomad seat be?

Seats come 4 in (10 cm), 8 in (20 cm), 12 in (30 cm) or 16 in (40 cm) thick, except the Plum Rosette, which is made at 4 in (10 cm) and 8 in (20 cm) only. Made-to-order sets take a little longer than ready ones — ask us for the current timing.

Which of the five Nomad designs suits a busy family room?

For a busy family room, the two kilim diamond designs bring the most color, while the Embroidered Band is the quietest.

Is the Plum Rosette made in every thickness?

Plum Rosette is made at 4 in (10 cm) and 8 in (20 cm) only, while the other four Nomad designs also come at 12 in (30 cm) and 16 in (40 cm). For a higher rosette seat, ask the team what is possible.

Can I order Nomad seating without the rug and ottoman?

Seating only is 5 pieces on a single, 9 on an L and 14 on a U: seat cushions, backrests, corner backrests and armrests. The rug, ottoman and pouf pillows are added in steps, up to 10, 14 or 19 pieces.

Do the Nomad cushions arrive ready to sit on?

Every set arrives with its covers and foam inserts in place, so there is no stuffing or assembly. Give the vacuum-packed cushions about a day after opening to regain their full shape.
