Cushions are pressed, rolled and vacuum-sealed for shipping and spring back to full size once you open them; they can't be re-compressed at home.

Your set ships in several boxes, typically two or three for an L-shape and more for larger layouts, and they may arrive on different days.

Every box gets its own tracking number, emailed as soon as your order ships.

Each shipment travels with a commercial invoice that lists the goods, their value, weight and materials.

Care

Covers unzip and can be machine-washed on a gentle 86°F (30°C) cycle with a mild detergent; avoid heat, which can shrink them.

Questions buyers ask

If I start with a smaller set, can I add pieces later, for example to turn my L set into a U?

Separate floor-seat pieces let an L be extended with additional components. For an Afghan Gul U, the new run also needs the appropriate corner backrests and end pieces, so list them on the revised plan. Confirm the current fabric reference before ordering additions to an existing set.

Can one side of my L-shaped majlis be much shorter than the other, like a 49 in (125 cm) wall?

Each side of an L is sized on its own, so one side can be as short as a 49 in (125 cm) wall while the main wall takes the longest run. Send a sketch with each wall length.

How does the Afghan Gul L turn its corner?

Where the runs meet, the first seat runs into the corner and the second run begins about 27.5 in (70 cm) along its wall. That is why the standard L measures 75 in (190 cm) along the shorter wall and 102 in (260 cm) along the longer one. A short corner backrest, 23.5 × 16 × 4 in (60 × 40 × 10 cm), closes the gap where the two lines of backrests meet.

Other walls are cut to fit, with no piece longer than about 75 in (190 cm). An L of 144 in (365 cm) by 73 in (185 cm), for example, takes three seat cushions, six backrests, a corner backrest and three armrests.

Can the Afghan Gul L take a half-length seat on a short wall?

A half seat of about 37.5 in (95 cm) is the usual way to fill a wall that falls between full lengths. Patterned weaves need a check first, since not every pattern is made in half-size pieces. Custom orders start with a layout plan for your approval.

Will the gold, maroon or navy Afghan Gul sit beside an Afghan rug?

Each octagon on these covers is a gul, the medallion Turkmen weavers repeated across their rugs. Gold, maroon and navy blue grounds echo many Afghan and Persian rugs, so the L can share a floor with a rug you already own. The weave is meant for indoor rooms. How do you sketch the walls, gul rows and ottoman for an Afghan Gul L?

Measure both seating walls along the floor and note which one is longer.
Say which way the corner turns when you face the seating.
Mark the wall where the gul rows start and where the ottoman will stand.

Can the Afghan Gul L be ordered to turn left or right?

The pieces are separate, so the same set can turn either way. Say which wall is longer and which way the corner faces, so the gul rows line up on the drawing.

Can the Afghan Gul L grow into a U later?

Seats, backrests, corner backrests and armrests in the same gul weave can be ordered any time. Send the length of the new wall, and the team lists what the second corner needs.

How far does the Afghan Gul L reach into the room?

Each seat is 27.5 in (70 cm) deep, backrests included, so the L reaches about 27.5 in (70 cm) out from both walls and leaves the corner floor for the ottoman.
