Hooked diamonds and stepped borders run along two walls in the Anatolian Kilim L-shaped floor sofa set, built from two 75 × 27.5 in (190 × 70 cm) seat cushions, four backrests, a corner backrest and two armrest bolsters. The standard L covers about 75 × 102 in (190 × 260 cm), leaving an open square in front of the corner for the ottoman.

Cushions are pressed, rolled and vacuum-sealed for shipping and spring back to full size once you open them; they can't be re-compressed at home.

Your set ships in several boxes, typically two or three for an L-shape and more for larger layouts, and they may arrive on different days.

Every box gets its own tracking number, emailed as soon as your order ships.

Each shipment travels with a commercial invoice that lists the goods, their value, weight and materials.

Care

Covers unzip and can be machine-washed on a gentle 86°F (30°C) cycle with a mild detergent; avoid heat, which can shrink them.

An L-shaped floor sofa set comes with two armrests. You can ask for a set number and position, such as both ends plus between seats, and extra armrests come in the set's fabric at the standard 19.5 × 8 × 8 in (50 × 20 × 20 cm).

What type and density of foam do you use, and can I upgrade to a denser foam?

Seats use high-density polyurethane foam — ask us for the exact density for your build. State any different foam requirement before confirming the Anatolian Kilim set, so the team can review it with the chosen seat height and component list. A photograph of the pattern does not identify the foam inside the cushions.

Where do the ottoman and rug go inside an Anatolian Kilim L?

Inside the L there is an open square in front of the corner. The 23.5 × 23.5 × 8 in (60 × 60 × 20 cm) ottoman works there as a low table, about 8 in (20 cm) high on a standard set, with the rug beneath it. On my sketches, the route from the door to the open end of the L is drawn before any cushion.

How is an Anatolian Kilim L sized to walls that are not standard?

Longer walls are split into pieces of up to about 75 in (190 cm), and the second wall gives up about 27.5 in (70 cm) where the first run fills the corner. Two walls of about 140 in (355 cm) each, for instance, take four seat cushions with their backrests, a corner backrest and four armrests. Custom orders start with a layout plan for your approval.

How do you read the hooked diamonds and stepped borders of an Anatolian kilim?

Kilims are flat-woven, and most Anatolian kilims are slit-woven. Each color fills its own block, so the designs lean on steps, diagonals and sharp diamonds rather than curves. Hooks, eyes and ram's horns are often read as protection or strength, though these are traditional readings.

The L comes in blue, gray, green, maroon, red and royal blue, in an indoor weave. Ask us about fabric swatches and a foam sample before you order.
