Cushions are pressed, rolled and vacuum-sealed for shipping and spring back to full size once you open them; they can't be re-compressed at home.

Your set ships in several boxes, typically two or three for an L-shape and more for larger layouts, and they may arrive on different days.

Every box gets its own tracking number, emailed as soon as your order ships.

Each shipment travels with a commercial invoice that lists the goods, their value, weight and materials.

Care

Covers unzip and can be machine-washed on a gentle 86°F (30°C) cycle with a mild detergent; avoid heat, which can shrink them.

Questions buyers ask

What's the difference between the sofa-only option and the full set, and what does the full set add?

Sofa only is the seating: seat cushions, backrests, armrest bolsters and, on an L or a U, the short corner backrests. The fuller set adds three pouf pillows and a 23.5 × 23.5 × 8 in (60 × 60 × 20 cm) ottoman that works as a low table. Ask for an itemized quote listing every piece and its size.

What seat heights can a custom majlis be made at, and how high is it from the floor?

Seats are usually made at 4 in (10 cm), 8 in (20 cm), 12 in (30 cm) or 16 in (40 cm), measured from the floor to the top of the seat. Low heights keep a traditional floor feel, and 16 in (40 cm) sits close to sofa height. Measure the seat of a chair you find comfortable and compare.

Stacked cushions are separate pieces, not sewn together, so a top layer can come off and serve as an extra floor mattress for guests.

How does a Ciragan single, L or U fit your walls?

A single takes one wall of about 75 in (190 cm). For an L, plan walls of about 75 in (190 cm) and 102 in (260 cm). The second run gives up one seat depth, about 27.5 in (70 cm), at the corner. A U gives about 224 in (570 cm) of seating, with sides near 75 in (190 cm), 130 in (330 cm) and 75 in (190 cm).

Walls of other lengths are cut to fit, and a long wall becomes two or more cushions, none longer than about 75 in (190 cm). Custom orders start with a layout plan for your approval. I would mark doors and radiators first, because they decide where a run has to stop.

The sea green set in the photos sits on two stacked layers. They stay separate, so the top one can come off and serve as a guest bed on the floor. Seat foam ranges from firm to medium-firm, and a softer or firmer fill is available on request. Seats use high-density polyurethane foam — ask us for the exact density for your build.

My own choice for a household with older relatives is the 12 in (30 cm) seat, low in look but easy to rise from. Made-to-order sets take a little longer than ready ones — ask us for the current timing. Our floor sofa thickness guide explains each height.

Sea green or ivory: which Ciragan cover suits the room?

Both colorways pair a quilted seat top, stitched in a small lattice, with back cushions woven in a large damask figure. Sea green shows the figure more clearly, and ivory keeps the set light. The name comes from Çırağan Palace on the Bosphorus, named for the lamp-lit evenings held in its gardens in the early 1700s, as the Ciragan pattern story explains.

The fabric is meant for indoor rooms. Covers unzip and can be machine-washed on a gentle 86°F (30°C) cycle with a mild detergent, away from dryer heat, which can shrink them. Screens rarely agree on a pale green. Ask us about fabric swatches and a foam sample before you order.

What should you settle before ordering a Ciragan diwan?

How long is each seating wall, measured along the floor, and where are the doors?
Sea green or ivory, and one solid seat or two stacked layers?
Seating only, or the ottoman and pillows as well?

Does the Ciragan diwan need a wall behind every backrest?

Each backrest needs a wall or a firm partition behind it, so the Ciragan is drawn along walls. If one side has to stay open, ask for metal back supports there.

Why does the Ciragan seat look plain while the backrests are patterned?

The seat top is quilted in a small lattice and the large damask figure is kept for the back cushions, so the set reads calm at seat level and patterned at eye level.

Can extra Ciragan pieces be added after delivery?

Yes. Seat cushions, backrests, a short corner backrest and spare covers can be ordered any time, so a single can later turn a corner. Send a photo of the set you already have.
