Cushions are pressed, rolled and vacuum-sealed for shipping and spring back to full size once you open them; they can't be re-compressed at home.

Your set ships in several boxes, typically two or three for an L-shape and more for larger layouts, and they may arrive on different days.

Every box gets its own tracking number, emailed as soon as your order ships.

Each shipment travels with a commercial invoice that lists the goods, their value, weight and materials.

Care

Covers unzip and can be machine-washed on a gentle 86°F (30°C) cycle with a mild detergent; avoid heat, which can shrink them.

How high will you sit?

If someone at home finds low seats hard to get up from, choose 12 in (30 cm) or the 16 in (40 cm) sofa-height option; 4 in (10 cm) to 8 in (20 cm) suits a classic floor-style room or a prayer room.

Questions buyers ask

What's the difference between upholstered sponge tables and wooden tables for a majlis?

Sponge tables are firm foam blocks upholstered in the same fabric as the majlis, so they match exactly and weigh less. Wooden tables are separate pieces with a more traditional furniture look. Sponge tables can also be made taller to match a raised seat.

The atelier cuts the foam, sews the covers and fits the pieces to the approved specification. For this Royal Star design, ask to see the fabric, seams and finished pieces on photos or video. Those details show the work you can review without relying on a general quality or durability label.

How is the Royal Star seating cut to a long hall?

Each wall run is split into seat pieces of up to about 75 in (190 cm), and the backrests are divided evenly over the seats, so no backrest bridges a joint. The pieces on one wall are cut equal, so a 169 in (430 cm) wall becomes three seats of about 56 in (143 cm).

I plan the walkway before the tables. In a long hall I want a clear path between the seat fronts and the star tables, and the tables are sized to what remains. Custom orders start with a layout plan for your approval.

Seat height or star tables: which should change first?

Seat height is the decision you sit with every day. 4 in (10 cm) or 8 in (20 cm) keeps classic floor seating, 12 in (30 cm) is the common middle and 14.5 in (37 cm) to 16 in (40 cm), depending on the build, is close to a regular sofa.

Star tables come upholstered over foam in the majlis fabric or as wooden sets, and nesting sets of 5, 7 or 9 pieces exist in star, round or square shapes. I would choose upholstered ones for a family room where tables get moved around.

Which cream and gold fabrics can the seats be made in?

The photographed hall pairs cream seats with gold accents on the backrests, and a second room shows the same idea in gold velvet with black and gold armrests. Fabrics include Turkish velvet, chenille and linen-look weaves, and solid colors are chosen by number from the fabric color card. Charcoal is offered from the color card only, since no room has been photographed in it yet. The gold can also be left off.

Can the Royal Star Jalsa be ordered without the star tables?

The seating is quoted on its own and the star tables are an optional line, so a room can start with the majlis and add tables later.

Can the eight-point star tables be made taller for a raised majlis?

Upholstered star tables are foam blocks in the seat fabric, so they can be made taller for a raised seat. Wooden star sets come in their own heights; ask for both when seats are 14.5 in (37 cm) to 16 in (40 cm) high.

How many star tables does a long Royal Star hall usually take?

A long hall often takes two center tables placed along its length, each with smaller pieces around it, while a squarer room usually needs one. The layout drawing shows how many fit with a clear path around them.
