Cushions are pressed, rolled and vacuum-sealed for shipping and spring back to full size once you open them; they can't be re-compressed at home.

Your set ships in several boxes, typically two or three for an L-shape and more for larger layouts, and they may arrive on different days.

Every box gets its own tracking number, emailed as soon as your order ships.

Each shipment travels with a commercial invoice that lists the goods, their value, weight and materials.

Care

Covers unzip and can be machine-washed on a gentle 86°F (30°C) cycle with a mild detergent; avoid heat, which can shrink them.

How high will you sit?

If someone at home finds low seats hard to get up from, choose 12 in (30 cm) or the 16 in (40 cm) sofa-height option; 4 in (10 cm) to 8 in (20 cm) suits a classic floor-style room or a prayer room.

Can I buy a majlis table set or a single center table on its own, without the seating?

Table sets are normally made as part of a majlis order, but a set or a single center table can be produced on request. A typical set pairs one large center table with four smaller tables, made to suit the seat height.

What should I do if my set arrives damaged, faulty or with a piece missing?

Identify any affected Royal Star component against the written list and keep the order reference with the report. If anything arrives damaged or missing, message us with photos as soon as you can and we'll put it right. Photos of the affected piece and its packing help the team review what arrived; separate parcel tracking should also be checked before reporting a component as missing.

The tables, rug and curtains in the photo are styling unless you put them on the quote. Within our Arabic majlis sofa sets, this cream build takes its contrast from the tables rather than the seats.

How many tables does a long hall need?

The photographed hall uses the usual five-piece set: a center table ringed by four cubes. Nesting sets also come in 5, 7 or 9 pieces, in star, round or square designs. I plan tables by reach, so every guest can set a cup down without standing.

On a quiet evening the cubes close around the center table; when the room fills, they move out along the seating as side tables. Upholstered ottoman tables are the other route, about 8 in (20 cm) high beside low seats and up to 16 in (40 cm) beside a raised majlis.

Depending on the model, raised seats measure 14.5 in (37 cm) to 16 in (40 cm) from the floor, and a backrest on a 16 in (40 cm) seat brings the total to about 31.5 in (80 cm). The set is built from high-density foam alone or on an MDF and wood frame under foam seats. Seats use high-density polyurethane foam — ask us for the exact density for your build.

Can the cream and gold scheme change for your room?

The photos show cream with black bands and gold details, but most models can be made in any color from our fabric range, and gold accents are optional. Velvet, chenille, linen-look weaves and jacquard are picked by color number from the fabric card. Ask us about fabric swatches and a foam sample before you order.

What should your sketch show before the quote?

From the atelier: A buyer in the US answered an ad showing a U-shaped set and asked for a version fitted to their own room, with more small seat cushions and fewer long ones. They sketched the room but labeled the numbers as inches; our designer pointed out that one side would then be barely 6 in (15 cm) and confirmed the measurements were in feet. The buyer also wanted the single large ottoman split into four small tables, and our team checked with the tailor before agreeing, noting it would change the look. The final plan covered a layout of 72 in (183 cm) by 108 in (274 cm) by 115 in (293 cm) by 42 in (107 cm), with floor seating all round, backrests on every side, six armrests, three pouf pillows, a rug and the four-part ottoman. The discussion then moved to a phone call to go through the plan.

Can the Royal Star Classic seating stand in the middle of a hall, away from the walls?

Foam backrests lean on a wall, so this design runs along the walls. Open floor behind a run calls for a wooden base and a wooden backrest, or metal back supports on request.

How narrow can the Royal Star Classic seats be made for a small room?

Standard depth is about 29.5 in (75 cm). A narrow room can take about 19.5 in (50 cm) to 23.5 in (60 cm), and on request seats go deeper, up to about 33.5 in (85 cm); mark doors and windows so the depth is checked against them.

Can a second room get matching Royal Star Classic pieces later?

Single seat modules, backrests, armrests and covers can be ordered at any time, so a later room or a longer wall can match the first. Keep the color numbers from your order, because solid colors are picked by number from the fabric card.
