The Golden Majlis is a gold star applique majlis built from caramel and cream velvet blocks, with gold stars on the seat fronts and cream backrests banded in gold. The caramel and cream can each move to another velvet shade by color number, and the gold stars and strips are optional.

Cushions are pressed, rolled and vacuum-sealed for shipping and spring back to full size once you open them; they can't be re-compressed at home.

Your set ships in several boxes, typically two or three for an L-shape and more for larger layouts, and they may arrive on different days.

Every box gets its own tracking number, emailed as soon as your order ships.

Each shipment travels with a commercial invoice that lists the goods, their value, weight and materials.

Care

Covers unzip and can be machine-washed on a gentle 86°F (30°C) cycle with a mild detergent; avoid heat, which can shrink them.

Questions buyers ask

Can I get the design I like in a darker shade, such as chocolate brown or navy?

Darker shades such as chocolate brown, navy or deep green are available for most designs, either as a darker colorway or in plain velvet or chenille. Cream or light parts of a design can be swapped for brown, and one set can mix shades, for example chocolate seats with beige backrests.

How tall is the Golden Majlis with its gold-banded backrests on a 16 in (40 cm) seat?

On a 16 in (40 cm) seat, the backrests bring the total height to about 31.5 in (80 cm). Check that figure against any low window sill or wall panel along the hall before choosing the raised build, so the gold bands sit clear of it.

How high will you sit?

If someone at home finds low seats hard to get up from, choose 12 in (30 cm) or the 16 in (40 cm) sofa-height option; 4 in (10 cm) to 8 in (20 cm) suits a classic floor-style room or a prayer room.

Most raised majlis designs can also be made at 8 in (20 cm), keeping the same look at half the height.

The seat foam is firm to medium-firm; softer or firmer filling can be requested.

The quote counts seats, backrests, armrests and pillows, each with its foam insert and zippered cover. Compared with the plainer Arabic majlis sofa sets we make to measure, this one puts gold in three places: the stars, the backrest bands and the trim strips.

How are the seat pieces cut for a long hall?

Each wall is measured from corner to corner, along the floor. The run is then split into equal seat pieces of no more than 75 in (190 cm). A 146 in (370 cm) wall becomes two 73 in (185 cm) pieces, so both halves match.

Where two walls meet, the second run is shorter by one seat depth. The first run already fills the corner. I would rather close a long run with an armrest than squeeze in one more short seat.

Which seat height suits a hall used for long gatherings?

Height is measured from the floor to the top of the seat. At 4 in (10 cm) or 8 in (20 cm) the room keeps a classic floor style that also suits prayer. At 12 in (30 cm), getting up is easier for older guests.

Raised builds sit at 14.5 in (37 cm) to 16 in (40 cm) depending on the model, about the height of a regular sofa. A wooden base is not made lower than that.

For a hall that hosts long evenings, I would choose 12 in (30 cm) or more. Seats use high-density polyurethane foam — ask us for the exact density for your build.

Which fabrics and colors can the Golden Majlis take?

The photographed hall pairs caramel and cream velvet with gold. Solid colors are picked by number from the fabric color card, so a shade we have not photographed is still possible.

I would keep the stars on velvet, where the gold sits cleanly on a soft surface. Our notes on majlis fabrics compare how each weave wears. A caramel swatch beside your floor tells you more than a screen. Ask us about fabric swatches and a foam sample before you order.

Which parts of the Golden Majlis are yours to decide?

Each caramel or cream block can switch to another color from the card.
Gold accents are optional, so the stars and strips can be left off.
The build can be all foam, or foam seats on a frame at the raised height.
No single seat piece runs longer than 75 in (190 cm), whatever the wall.

Is there storage under the Golden Majlis seats?

Storage under the seat is possible only on wooden-base builds, and some wooden-frame models include drawers. Those builds sit at the raised height of 14.5 in (37 cm) to 16 in (40 cm), so a lower all-foam Golden Majlis has no space underneath.

Are the round drum tables part of the Golden Majlis?

The drum tables with black glass tops are styling in the photographed hall, not part of the seating quote. Matching table sets can be quoted on request, either one large center table with four smaller ones or nesting sets of 5, 7 or 9 pieces.

How many armrests does a long hall of Golden Majlis seating take?

The designer spaces armrests and pillows along the seating so a long hall does not look crowded. A small L usually takes two to four armrests and a large U six or more, with each one marked on the drawing.
