Each maroon carpet cushion of the Maroon Royal Arabic Jalsa carries a central medallion inside a cream scrolling border, and the cushions sit on wooden frames about 16 in (40 cm) high and 27.5 in (70 cm) deep. Straight and corner benches build an L or U along the walls, with olive khaki and blue-gray as the other colorways.

Cushions are pressed, rolled and vacuum-sealed for shipping and spring back to full size once you open them; they can't be re-compressed at home.

Your set ships in several boxes, typically two or three for an L-shape and more for larger layouts, and they may arrive on different days.

Every box gets its own tracking number, emailed as soon as your order ships.

Each shipment travels with a commercial invoice that lists the goods, their value, weight and materials.

Care

Covers unzip and can be machine-washed on a gentle 86°F (30°C) cycle with a mild detergent; avoid heat, which can shrink them.

Questions buyers ask

The maroon looks red in the photo. How can I make sure I get the darker wine color?

Maroon is the deeper, wine-like tone and red the brighter one, though daylight or a phone screen can make maroon look red. Treat them as two options: ask for an indoor video, then check the color name and number on your order.

Which seat height is best for elderly parents or guests with bad knees who can't sit low on the floor?

For elderly relatives or anyone with stiff knees, choose a seat of 12 in (30 cm) or more, ideally about 16 in (40 cm), which sits close to a regular sofa. Low 4 in (10 cm) to 8 in (20 cm) seating keeps the traditional look but is harder to sit down on and stand up from during long gatherings.

Every face you sit on or lean against is carpet weave, not upholstery cloth, which is why this jalsa is never made without its wooden frame. List the armrests as separate lines on the quote, so none go missing from a long L. The wooden bench majlis family shows pine Sedir Benches with kilim-patterned cushions; this carpet-weave model uses wooden frames.

How high and deep is the seat on a carpet-weave wooden seating bench?

A straight bench is 75 in (190 cm) long, 27.5 in (70 cm) deep and about 16 in (40 cm) high with its cushion, close to the seat of an ordinary sofa. The 4 in (10 cm) backrest pillow takes about 4 in (10 cm) of that depth, leaving roughly 23.5 in (60 cm) to sit on. One bench seats about three people.

With wood below, the seat has less give than an all-foam majlis. I would plan the long wall first and let the corner bench settle the short one.

Why does a carpet-covered jalsa take longer to make?

Wooden pieces take longer to make than foam sets — ask us for the current schedule. If the room has to be ready for Eid or a wedding, send measurements well ahead.

Which colorway: maroon and cream, olive khaki or blue-gray?

The photographed colorway is maroon with cream borders, listed in the catalog as red and cream; olive khaki and blue-gray are shown on the color card only. The layout follows a classic Turkish carpet, a central medallion inside a scrolled border, a story told on the Medallion Carpet pattern page. A finished room in the same weave appears in the crimson and ivory majlis design.

The same weave is a common pick for cafés and restaurants, where heavy daily use is normal. Ask us about fabric swatches and a foam sample before you order.

What should you check before ordering the maroon jalsa?

How long is each wall at seat height, measured corner to corner?
Which way should the L turn, and which wall is the longest?
Have you seen maroon and red side by side in daylight?

Can the maroon jalsa be made lower than the photographed benches?

Models on a wooden base stay between about 14.5 in (37 cm) and 16 in (40 cm) high, so this jalsa does not go lower. If you want the medallion look closer to the floor, ask about an all-foam majlis or floor sofa in a similar red color family.

Can matching poufs and tables be added to the maroon jalsa?

Cube ottomans and table sets can be quoted with the seating; ask us which pieces are made in this weave. None of them are part of the bench set by default, so name each piece you want when you request the quote.

Can armrests be added at both ends of every run?

Armrest bolsters can close any open end, and the listed set counts three. Write the number you want on your sketch, because each bolster is a separate piece on the quote and on the layout drawing.
