Solid Velvet Single Floor Sofa Set for Modern Apartments

With one 75 × 27.5 in (190 × 70 cm) velvet seat cushion, three square backrest pillows, two armrest bolsters and two small throw pillows, the Solid Velvet single floor sofa set seats two to three people along a single wall. Seats are 4 in (10 cm) or 8 in (20 cm) thick, and an ottoman plus three floor pillows bring the full set to 12 pieces.

Cushions are pressed, rolled and vacuum-sealed for shipping and spring back to full size once you open them; they can't be re-compressed at home.

Your set ships in several boxes, typically two or three for an L-shape and more for larger layouts, and they may arrive on different days.

Every box gets its own tracking number, emailed as soon as your order ships.

Each shipment travels with a commercial invoice that lists the goods, their value, weight and materials.

Care

Covers unzip and can be machine-washed on a gentle 86°F (30°C) cycle with a mild detergent; avoid heat, which can shrink them.

Questions buyers ask

Can I order a spare set of covers so I can swap them when the majlis needs washing?

Spare cover sets can be made with your order or later, since every piece has a zippered cover that fits over the same foam. Order them with the set for the same fabric batch, or pick another color for a change of look. For a later order, send photos and the size of each foam piece.

Are the majlis and floor sofa covers removable, and can they go in the washing machine?

Each seat cushion, backrest and armrest has its own zippered cover that comes off the foam. Covers unzip and can be machine-washed on a gentle 86°F (30°C) cycle with mild detergent and no bleach. Check the care label of your fabric before the first wash, and let covers dry fully before refitting.

The seat, backrests, bolsters and throw pillows make 8 pieces; adding the ottoman, the three floor pillows or both gives 9, 11 or the 12-piece full set. It is the one-wall member of our plain and trellis velvet sets. On delivery day it comes pressed and vacuum-sealed, each foam piece already inside its zippered cover.

Will a 75 in (190 cm) velvet seat suit a narrow apartment wall?

A wall of 75 in (190 cm) takes the seat exactly, and foam forgives about 2 in (5 cm) of measuring error. For a hallway with little floor, ask about cutting the depth from 27.5 in (70 cm) to about 19.5 in (50 cm)–23.5 in (60 cm), or about a half seat of 37.5 in (95 cm) for a short wall, since not every velvet model can be cut to custom sizes.

The stacked build is two loose layers, so the top one can come off for airing or as a spare mattress for a guest. I air that top layer on a dry day at the start of each season. Seats use high-density polyurethane foam — ask us for the exact density for your build.

Ten velvet colors and a numbered card: how do you choose by daylight?

Beige, Blue, Brick Red, Gold, Gray, Green, Pink, Purple, Seafoam Green and Mustard Yellow are all photographed on this set. Other solid shades are picked by number from the fabric color card, so a color we have not photographed yet can still be made.

Because velvet has a pile, its shade shifts as you walk past: richer from one side, lighter from the other. Hold two swatches against your wall in morning and evening light. Ask us about fabric swatches and a foam sample before you order.

What should the first hour after delivery look like?

Count the boxes against your order, since parcels can arrive on different days.
Open the vacuum bags within about a week and lay each piece flat.
Give the foam about a day to recover its full shape before anyone sits on it.

Unpack in the room where the set will live, neighbor, because opened foam cannot be pressed back into its bag at home.

Can the Solid Velvet single set grow into an L later?

Extra seats and backrests can be ordered any time, so a second seat on the next wall can turn the single into an L. The square backrest count changes with the layout, from 3 here to 7 on the L, so ask us for a matching list.

Do the square backrests need a wall behind them?

They do. Foam seating has no frame of its own, so the square backrests rest against a wall or another solid surface; for a side that must stay open, ask about metal back supports.

Is the velvet on the throw pillows the same as on the seat?

Fabrics are not mixed across collections, so a velvet set stays velvet on every piece, throw pillows included, and all of them come in the color you choose.
