Cushions are pressed, rolled and vacuum-sealed for shipping and spring back to full size once you open them; they can't be re-compressed at home.

Your set ships in several boxes, typically two or three for an L-shape and more for larger layouts, and they may arrive on different days.

Every box gets its own tracking number, emailed as soon as your order ships.

Each shipment travels with a commercial invoice that lists the goods, their value, weight and materials.

Care

Covers unzip and can be machine-washed on a gentle 86°F (30°C) cycle with a mild detergent; avoid heat, which can shrink them.

What's the difference between the sofa-only option and the full set, and what does the full set add?

The sofa-only option is just the seating, here one seat cushion, two backrests and two armrests. The full set adds three pouf pillows and a 23.5 × 23.5 × 8 in (60 × 60 × 20 cm) ottoman that doubles as a low table, and a middle step adds the ottoman alone. Ask for an itemized quote listing each piece.

Which parts of the Gingham-Trim Linen set carry the gingham check?

The seat cushion is covered in a plain linen-look weave, one of the fabric families we work with alongside velvet and chenille. A small two-color gingham check covers the armrest bolsters, the floor pillows and the ottoman top, and the green set carries it on the backrests too.

Which sunroom wall suits a 75 in (190 cm) single seat?

The set needs one wall of about 75 in (190 cm) and about 27.5 in (70 cm) of floor in front of it. One cushion of that length seats two to three people. Leave a little space at each end, since foam forgives a measuring difference of up to about 2 in (5 cm). Backrests stand 16 in (40 cm) tall and lean on the wall, so plan the set along a solid wall rather than a glass door.

A longer wall can take a custom seat length, or a half-length seat of about 37.5 in (95 cm) beside the standard one. Custom orders start with a layout plan for your approval.

Is a 4 in (10 cm) or a 8 in (20 cm) linen seat easier to live with?

The 4 in (10 cm) seat keeps the classic low line and is quick to lift when you clean underneath. At 8 in (20 cm), you choose between a solid block and two stacked 4 in (10 cm) cushions, and the stacked pair comes apart so the top one can serve as a guest mattress.

Blue, green or terracotta: how does the check change each set?

Each colorway pairs a plain linen-look seat with a small two-color check. Blue has denim-blue seats, light blue backrests and blue-and-white gingham. Green carries the check on its backrests too. Terracotta sets soft coral backrests over a terracotta seat, with red-and-white check.

The word gingham reached English through Dutch, from a Malay word for striped or checked cloth. In France the same check is called Vichy, and the gingham pattern page tells the rest of that story.

The weave is meant for indoor rooms, and a bright sunroom counts as one. Ask us about fabric swatches and a foam sample before you order.

What if the linen meets coffee, a sunny window or a worn-out cover?

Coffee on the seat: blot it with a dry cloth right away, then unzip and wash the cover if a mark stays.
One side fading by the window: turn the seat cushion end to end each season and swap the backrests around.
A cover that looks tired after years: covers can be ordered without foam, even in another of the three colorways.

Covers unzip and can be machine-washed on a gentle 86°F (30°C) cycle with a mild detergent, then left to air-dry, because heat can shrink them. Can the Gingham-Trim Linen single grow into an L later?

Yes. A second seat cushion, two more backrests and a short corner backrest can be ordered later in the same colorway, turning the single into an L along two walls. Send a photo of your current set so the new pieces are planned to meet it.

Can the Gingham-Trim Linen set go on a covered porch?

It is made for indoor rooms. For a terrace or porch the atelier uses a separate water-repellent outdoor fabric, mostly in plain colors, so ask for that range if the seating will live outside.

How does the set arrive, and how soon can you sit on it?
