Solid Velvet U-Shaped Floor Sofa Set Where the Rug Carries the Pattern

Around three walls, the Solid Velvet U-shaped floor sofa set places three 75 × 27.5 in (190 × 70 cm) seat cushions in front of 11 square backrest pillows, with four armrest bolsters and four small throw pillows in velvet. The square backrests give the U a soft back line in any of ten plain velvet colors, and a rug of your own carries the pattern.

Cushions are pressed, rolled and vacuum-sealed for shipping and spring back to full size once you open them; they can't be re-compressed at home.

Your set ships in several boxes, typically two or three for an L-shape and more for larger layouts, and they may arrive on different days.

Every box gets its own tracking number, emailed as soon as your order ships.

Each shipment travels with a commercial invoice that lists the goods, their value, weight and materials.

Care

Covers unzip and can be machine-washed on a gentle 86°F (30°C) cycle with a mild detergent; avoid heat, which can shrink them.

Questions buyers ask

Do you have rugs big enough to cover the whole floor inside the seating area?

Larger rugs of about 79 × 118 in (200 × 300 cm) are available, smaller rugs can be combined to cover more floor, and carpets can be made to fit a room. Send the floor size inside your seating, from the front edge of one seat to the opposite one, and the team suggests a combination.

Do you make a quilted topper that goes over the floor mattress to protect it and add comfort?

A separate quilted topper is not offered at the moment, because the seat foam is made to be comfortable without one. To protect the seating, rely on the zippered covers, which unzip for washing once you have checked their care label, or keep a spare cover set to swap in.

Three packages are offered: seating only, seating with the ottoman, and the full set with three floor pillows added. None of them lists a rug, which leaves the pattern to a rug you already own. This U is the largest standard layout among our plain and trellis velvet floor sofas.

Three walls, 224 in (570 cm) of seating: how does the standard U sit in a room?

The standard U runs about 75 in (190 cm) on each side and 130 in (330 cm) across the back. The side seats run into the back corners and cover about 27.5 in (70 cm) of the back wall at each end, and the back seat fills the space between. Around eight to nine adults sit on it comfortably.

Other rooms can often take seats cut to length, with no piece over 75 in (190 cm); ask first, as some velvet models are made only in standard modules. If one arm of the U faces a bright window, I swap its throw pillows with the shaded side each season.

Is a 4 in (10 cm) or a 8 in (20 cm) velvet seat better for long evenings?

A 4 in (10 cm) seat keeps the classic close-to-the-floor feel, while 8 in (20 cm) gives more cushion over a long gathering and can be one block or two stacked layers. Seats use high-density polyurethane foam — ask us for the exact density for your build.

Which of the ten velvet colors forgives daily life best?

The set is photographed in Beige, Blue, Brick Red, Gold, Gray, Green, Pink, Purple, Seafoam Green and Mustard Yellow. Velvet pile catches the light, so one color can look deeper from one end of a U and brighter from the other. Pale grounds such as Beige need the quickest blotting.

What should you do if velvet meets coffee, crumbs or a wash day?

A spill: blot it with an undyed cloth, then read the cover's care label before any wash.
Crumbs after a gathering: vacuum the seams where the seats meet the backrests.
Wash day: covers unzip for a gentle machine wash at 86°F (30°C); air-dry them away from heat.

Single replacement pieces can be ordered any time, neighbor, so one stained cushion never sinks the set.

How does the Solid Velvet U arrive?

In several boxes, which may come on different days. Cushions are pressed and vacuum-sealed; open the bags within about a week and give the foam about a day to recover its shape before use.

Can I order only new covers for the velvet U if we redecorate?

Covers can be ordered without foam, for example to refresh the set in a new color. Keep a note of each piece size and the seat thickness so the new covers fit the foam you already have.

Can the Solid Velvet U be made deeper or shallower than 27.5 in (70 cm)?

Seat depth can be reduced to about 19.5 in (50 cm)–23.5 in (60 cm) for a narrow room, or made deeper, up to about 33.5 in (85 cm), where the model allows it.
