For such a long route the designer can quote a full-foam majlis beside the wooden one, because most designs offer both builds. Wooden pieces travel in larger packaging and take longer than foam sets — ask us for the current estimate. Ask for both builds on the same measurements and compare them.
Is there a stockist in Australia where we can sit on a set first?: Every set is cut and sewn to order in Istanbul. Ask us about fabric swatches and a foam sample before you order. Ask us for a design consultation — we can talk through your room on a video call. We don't have a showroom; ask us for a sample box or a video call.

What should a lounge brief list so the designer can quote in one step?

Mark every door swing, window and air-conditioning or floor vent on a sketch; vent cut-outs can be built into a majlis base.
Take each wall length from corner to corner in centimeters, leaving out doorways, and note whether each figure is a wall size or the seat size you want.
Name the seat depth if a wall is tight: 70 cm (27.5 in) is usual, and a slim room can go down to about 50 cm (19.5 in) to 60 cm (23.5 in).
Say whether each seat should be one solid piece or two stacked layers.
Send one photo from each corner and a short video; a phone measuring app is fine.

One solid 20 cm (8 in) block or two 10 cm (4 in) layers: can photos tell them apart?

A 20 cm (8 in) seat can be built from two stacked 10 cm (4 in) layers or from one solid block, so say which you prefer when you ask for the quote. Stacked layers are separate pieces, not sewn together, and the top one can come off as an extra floor seat or a guest mattress. Front-on photos flatten height, so ask for a side-on photo or a short video with a tape measure standing against the seat. For an older relative, ask about 30 cm (12 in) or 40 cm (16 in) full-foam seats.

Which four checks should come before a deposit on a long-haul majlis?

A wooden base and wooden backrests are options on most designs, and a wood-frame design can also be made as all-foam floor seating, so the frame is a choice and not a given. All-foam majlis models come in two main heights, 30 cm (12 in) and about 40 cm (16 in), while models on a wooden base run 37 cm (14.5 in) to 40 cm (16 in) depending on the model.

Can a covers-only order refresh a set you already own?

Covers can be ordered without foam, for instance to re-cover a set in a new color, and spare covers can be ordered any time. Ask the designer for a covers-only quote beside the complete one, and keep the piece list from your first order so every cover is cut to a known size.

I'm in Western Australia. How will I know my set has shipped?

Every box has its own tracking number, and an email with the numbers arrives when the order ships. If no order confirmation reaches you after payment, message the team the same day and ask for the order and its expected ship week to be confirmed.

Could a maroon fabric leave marks where the backrests touch a white wall?

A simple test settles it before you order: rub a damp white cloth firmly over a fabric swatch, and if no color comes off, the risk is low. Backrests lean against the wall rather than rubbing along it, and a finger's width of space behind them also protects fresh paint.

Our lounge is long and narrow, about 785 × 389 cm (309 × 153 in). How would a majlis wrap around it?

One layout runs seating along the back wall and both short walls, then returns partway along the front wall from each corner, leaving the middle open for the door or the TV. The designer shifts each return to where your door swings, and every seat is drawn with its size first.
