What seat length does a family of seven need, and which layout supplies it?

The planner counts 23.5 in (60 cm) of seat per adult, so the plan starts with the guest list and not with a seat count. A standard L has two 75 in (190 cm) seats and seats five to six adults comfortably, up to seven. A standard U has three and seats eight to nine.

Can a U of about 72 in (183 cm) by 144 in (366 cm) by 72 in (183 cm) have a seat as tall as 16 in (40 cm)?: A 16 in (40 cm) seat is the sofa-height option, about the height of a regular living-room sofa, and it suits anyone who finds low seating hard on the knees. On that U the side runs fill the corners, the back wall keeps 89 in (226 cm), and the designer divides it into two seats of 44 in (113 cm).
Do you deliver to Fargo and elsewhere in North Dakota, even in winter?: We deliver to addresses across North Dakota, Fargo included. We don't have a showroom or a store you can visit, because every set is made in our Istanbul workshop. In the cold months, open the vacuum bags within about a week of delivery and give the cushions about a day to recover their full shape.

Which seat height spares the knees of older relatives?

Foam seats come 4 in (10 cm), 8 in (20 cm), 12 in (30 cm) or 16 in (40 cm) thick. Anyone who finds low seating hard to rise from should look at 12 in (30 cm) or the sofa-height option, and 4 in (10 cm) to 8 in (20 cm) suits a classic floor-style room. Raised majlis models sit at 14.5 in (37 cm) to 16 in (40 cm) depending on the model, and at 16 in (40 cm) a seat is about the height of a regular sofa.

The 12 in (30 cm) and 16 in (40 cm) cushions are usually made to order. Stand a chair you know beside the taped outline before you choose. The tape will curl at the ends, so weigh it down with a book.

What should a North Dakota room list before the first video call?

Start at the entry: boots, coat hooks and a baseboard heater take floor in a long winter, so mark where each one stands before a run is drawn.
Check the long wall for a window or a radiator and note how far each one sits from the nearest corner.

Do you make curtains and a rug to go with the majlis, and what do I measure?

Curtains and a matching rug can go on the same order as the seating. For curtains, measure the window width plus the wall you want covered on each side, and the drop from the rod to the floor. For the rug, measure the open floor between the seating runs.

Can I get the size of every piece before I order?

The layout drawing lists each piece with its length, depth and thickness, covering seats, backrests, armrests and any rug, so you can tape the outlines on the floor first. A standard seat cushion measures 75 × 27.5 × 4 in (190 × 70 × 10 cm).

Can I order a fabric sample first and have my room drawn afterward?

Ask us about fabric swatches and a foam sample before you order. Once you have chosen, send the room sizes and the team prepares the layout.
