Which seat heights go with long backs against the wall?

Foam seats come in 4 in (10 cm), 8 in (20 cm), 12 in (30 cm) and 16 in (40 cm). 4 in (10 cm) to 8 in (20 cm) suits a classic floor-style room, while 12 in (30 cm) or the 16 in (40 cm) sofa-height option is kinder to stiff knees. Wait until the walls and doors are final, then measure from inside the room on a video call. The designer watches the tape run along each wall and notes doors, vents and outlets as you go.

1. Mark every door frame first, because each doorway ends a run of seating.
2. Stand in the room for the call and run the tape along each wall while the designer watches.
3. Write each wall on its own line; a single total such as 180 in (457 cm) can hide whether it covers one wall or two.
4. Ask for the drawing once the final numbers are in.

How do boxes get to South Carolina?
