Navy velvet seating on a cream base patterned with gold arabesques frames a star-shaped cluster of cream tables in the Royal Jalsah, a navy and cream majlis with a star table at its center and box armrests along each run. Cushions are pressed, rolled and vacuum-sealed for shipping and spring back to full size once you open them; they can't be re-compressed at home.

Your set ships in several boxes, typically two or three for an L-shape and more for larger layouts, and they may arrive on different days.

Every box gets its own tracking number, emailed as soon as your order ships.

Each shipment travels with a commercial invoice that lists the goods, their value, weight and materials.

Care

Covers unzip and can be machine-washed on a gentle 86°F (30°C) cycle with a mild detergent; avoid heat, which can shrink them.

How high will you sit?

If someone at home finds low seats hard to get up from, choose 12 in (30 cm) or the 16 in (40 cm) sofa-height option; 4 in (10 cm) to 8 in (20 cm) suits a classic floor-style room or a prayer room.

Most raised majlis designs can also be made at 8 in (20 cm), keeping the same look at half the height.

Questions buyers ask

Is the star table part of the majlis, or ordered on its own?

The tables are an add-on, separate from the seating quote. Star-shaped clusters like the photographed one belong to the table range alongside round and square designs, either as a big center table ringed by smaller pieces or as nesting groups, so ask for the star version by name.

Can the Royal Jalsah backrests be cream while the seats stay navy?

Each part can take its own swatch number, so cream backrests over navy seats is a straightforward two-tone order. The photographed room keeps navy on both, with the cream in the base and the tables.

What's inside the cushion?

The seat foam is firm to medium-firm; softer or firmer filling can be requested.

What does a guest see first on entering this room?

From the doorway, the star table catches the eye first, and the navy seating frames it on three sides. That order works in a guest room: coffee lands on the table, and people settle along the walls.

Navy is one of the most requested colors across our Yemeni seating cut to your walls, and here the cream base outlines every seat, which helps guests find their place in a dim evening room.

How many guests can sit around one star table?

Count in seats, not in walls. Each 75 in (190 cm) seat takes two or three adults, so a U of eight seats takes sixteen to twenty-four guests. Long walls are split into equal seats, so a 224 in (570 cm) wall takes three 75 in (190 cm) seats.

For a smaller room, the same pieces work along two walls, as in our L-shaped majlis sizes for two walls. I always leave a straight lane from the entrance to the last seat, wide enough for someone carrying a tray. Custom orders start with a layout plan for your approval.

Box armrest, corner seat or backrest: which names go on the drawing?

Every seat takes two backrests of about half its length, so a 75 in (190 cm) seat carries two 37.5 in (95 cm) backrests. Shorter filler seats and split backrests close the gaps that odd wall lengths leave.

On any room with odd wall lengths I would ask for a labeled photo, fellow host, because it settles most naming questions before the order is final.

Navy, cream or gold: what can change for your room?

Any color on the numbered fabric card can replace the navy, and the gold accents are optional. Other examples are grouped under royal-style rooms with gold trim and star tables. Ask us about fabric swatches and a foam sample before you order. Then hold the navy against your walls in daylight.

Walk it as a guest: what should you check from the door to the last seat?

The star table leaves a straight path from the doorway to the seats.
Every run ends in an armrest, so nobody sits on an open edge.
Each seat has a table or a flat armrest top within reach for a cup.

Could the Royal Jalsah furnish a café lounge as well as a home?

Cafés, restaurants, coffee houses, community halls and event venues are furnished with made-to-measure floor seating too, so this design can be drawn for a commercial room. Give the seat target and how the room is cleaned between sittings.

Will the Royal Jalsah work where the door sits in the middle of a wall?

Measure that wall on each side of the door, from the corner to the frame, and leave the opening out. The seating then stops on either side of the doorway, and the drawing shows both short runs with their armrests.

Can the box armrests be swapped for round bolsters?

A custom majlis comes with two armrest styles to choose from, straight and round, and raised builds use armrests of about 10 × 10 × 21.5 in (25 × 25 × 55 cm). Say which style you want at each run end, and the layout drawing shows it before production.
